Updated

It took them a little over 2 1/2 to get home which is quite quick for a trip to the ER. No real information though. They checked her vitals and would like her to see a pediatrician within two weeks.  Although the Peds Dr that they would like her to see is the Little Man's pediatric cardiologist.  Interesting.

The funny thing is that when they pulled up her information by heath card number all that came up was Baby Female Maiden name.  One would think that when you fill out the piece of paper with the health card information the hospital would at least record the information on it before sending it in to the ministry of health.

She most be doing pretty well to have made it to almost 3 1/2 without a single ER trip.

Waiting...

It's 10 pm and its quiet around here.

Jellybean and Tae are both fast asleep.  Hubby has taken Banana into emerge to get checked out.  Since she was small if she got hurt then she would open her mouth and just pause. No screaming, no breathing, moving.  She would just stop and then eventually the loud high-pitched scream would start.  Normally after us reminding her "Breathe Banana, Breathe.  Lately this has changed.  We still get the pause but now before the scream its folded by her dropping to the floor.  Tonight the girls were playing and Banana ended up getting her thumb in Jellybean's mouth.  It wasn't an intentional bite but it was enough to set her off.  She is out for a couple of seconds then the scream and once she is calmed down, she is back to her normal happy self.

Hubby and I react very different.  I under-react and he over-reacts,  Sometimes he is right and others I am. Tonight he called Tele.health and as always their reaction was to take her in.  But for the first time information was being sent over and hopefully that will help keep the wait time down a bit.  I would have called her doctors office in the morning so get her an appointment and go from there.  He is worried that its medical while I think its more psychological.

So right now I wait.

three things...

1. Scored a leather jacket for 3 bucks!  Actually I got two but gave one to my Mom who it fit a little better.

2. My goal for the weekend is to get the curtain rods up in the bedrooms.  Its a good thing we don't have neighbours on that side.

3.  Chopper aka the little man is now sporting Four teeth.  Which I discovered as he was trying to eat my foot.

gotta keep the ball rolling...

It never seems to fail.  I get set up to type and wham babe decides to wake. He is teething so its really not his fault that he isn't sleeping a lot.  He does well during that day but at night Mom is all he wants.

And this tired Mama is ready for bed as well.

Keys

I have lost my keys.  I must have set them down somewhere and can't for the life of me remember where.  I do have another set of van keys with a house key on it so getting out isn't a problem.  But its the set with the mail key on it that has disappeared and I have a package coming.  Grrrrr.

Dreaming

Is it weird that I'm dreaming of a bright, clean laundry room in tones of green and cream with lots of storage and new front load washer and dryer.  A place to sort without the kids throwing things off the bed.

A big sink to wash fleece and a counter to re-pot plants.  A place to store the cooler, vacuum and broom.

FX it wil happen soon.

So close but no cigar.

Today was a bit of puttering around.  Returning the steam mop that just wasn't working for us, so floors are going to be done manually again.  A new vacuum was in the works instead.  While wondering, we stopped into the habitat restore and saw some engineered flooring for a $1 a foot and they had 100 sq ft available.  We have been taking about what to do with the flooring in the kitchen once it is gutted (FX it happens soon) and if we can get away without doing laminate it would be nice.  So we came home and remeasured the kitchen.  We would need 114 sq ft, and then extra for waste.

Maybe we will get lucky another day.

Sneaking in for a third time in three days. It must be a record for me.

I have a love/hate relationship with a certain website.  You know the one that starts with K and ends with ijiji.  Yep that one.  I have found some fantastic deals on clothes, baby stuff  etc.  We have even sold several cars and bought more through it.  Even a front loader, that big yellow beast of a machine.

Mine only issue with it is all the free stuff.  Don't get me wrong, it can be fantastic except that I live with a collector and a cheap one at that.  He admits to being very cheap so I'm I'm not insulting him at all.  I have so much stuff in the house that its full and there is no more room.  If its free or cheap, wood and maybe slightly usable, off he goes.  Electronics is another one.

Will it ever end?  Maybe when he fills the house up, the carport is already full.  I don't know. I guess we shall see.

Knitting

Banana asked me this morning why I was knitting.  Jellybean was still sleeping and the younger two were quietly playing.  Well the little man was crawling around and Banana was trying to sit with me in the glider.  "Mommy likes to knit" was my response to her.  They like to ask me what I'm knitting and who it is for.  I will always tell them what it is and unless its a grandparent gift who its for as well.

I'm not one who zones out in front of the TV.  That is one reason that we don't have cable or satellite, its just not worth it.  I either have my knitting with me or a book.  I learned to knit as a child mostly because my Mom was teaching my older sisters, I still have the scarf that I started; its never been finished.  I started to make some mittens for kids that belonged to a friend as well as a sister's boyfriend at the time.  Those mittens eventually did get finished but were passed along to others.  My oldest nephew got the first pair that I finally put together and then my younger nephew had to have his own pair as he kept stealing his brothers.  They were dragon mitts that work very well as puppets and are now known as "Grrr" mitts.  I think my niece has the third pair and I had to make another for my oldest nephew which are now ripped to shreds.

When I found out I was pregnant the first time, I wanted to make something for the babe.  I found a pattern in a book that I was reading and cast on.  Knits and purls, very simple.  I finished it before the Jellybean was born as well.  Since then I have made that blanket 7 times, three within that first year.  Then came hats and socks.  Hats are still my favorite thing to make.  Hubby gets a new one every year as he loses them frequently and that bald head of his must stay warm.  The funny thing is that his favorite is one that I made three years ago that he decided to wash and then put it in the dryer. It was wool, silly man.  Its now the size of a yarmulke and he wears it under his other hats.

Its the simple movement of each stitch that I enjoy.  Its not the finished product.  I have so many things that just need ends sewn in, seams done and they just sit around.  I like the planning of it, choosing the pattern, the yarn.  I guess that is one reason I choose to do smaller projects a lot.  I can get them done and them onto starting and planning another.

Countown

I used to wonder what all the fuss was about back to school.  As a kid, it was the end of summer.  We never did the big back to school shopping, if we needed something then we got it but it was never a huge trip.  Now I know, its the getting them out of the house for a while.  Two or three days a week of only dealing with 2 kids instead of three.  One less to listen to the whining.

20 days...  I am so excited.

But September brings other issues as well.  I am supposed to go back to work on the 16th.  I'm not ready to leave the little man.  I don't trust my IL's to get my oldest from the bus stop, they also can't handle all three.  Hubby works crazy hours at times so while it would be nice to get out of the house for a while, I'm not sure that I could actually handle it.  I guess at this point its waiting to see what I'm work is able to offer me.  Department and hour wise.

So we wait.
