Step One

Today is the first step in my new life. Got married? Did that over 4 years ago. Had a child? have 2. What else? Bought a house, we are finally going to have a home. I must confess I didn't think we were going to get it. The house went for auction this morning and there was a lot of people there. Bidding starting quickly but in the end we won. The house needs a lot of work but after some of the rentals that we have lived it, its not any worse and we can do something about it. We take possession on Dec 13. I can't wait to be home for Christmas. We haven't put up a tree or decorated in 3 years. I can't wait. The tree will be up as soon as everything is in the house. I don't see the point in doing a lot of unpacking until some of the renos are done. The master bedroom needs new flooring right away and a huge clean. There is hardwood floors is the living room, dining room and smaller bedroom which all needs to be refinished. I think that will be February's job. I don't think I quite have my head around it yet. I'm scared to even tell anyone. I think it will sink in once I start packing up everything.
